Frantoio olive tree is origin of Italy it grows more like a tree then dense bush , which is different from all other olive trees.it self pollinated and it is excellent for pollinating other cultivars , it can stand alone as a feature tree .
When fruit is mature it produces purple black olives but preferred picking time green, it is rich in oil between 17% & 22% with very fruity aromatic quality flavour ideal for table olive.
It has evergreen foliage with white flowers in spring good to grow is suburban areas such as home gardens. Newly planted olive trees require frequent watering till established even will grow nutritionally poor soils.
